Vashon-Maury Island is home to many painters, potters, jewelers,
stained glass artists, musicians, writers and organic farmers.
Vashon's artist's association presents an art showing each month
featuring a variety of accomplished local artists. Other types of
performances by local and off island entertainers offer a wide range
of choices that are presented to the public several times monthly
(plays, poetry readings, etc), in addition there are ongoing art
classes and an 'artists in the schools' program.
Cottage
industries abound and the resulting fine arts and crafts are sold in
many of our shops, galleries and at Saturday Market. May and
December brings a host of open studios for you to tour. Please check

We have a very talented drama troupe,
performing great plays on a regular basis. Also, many
artists from off island .
